New World Energy is a highly active participant in the Australian geothermal Industry. The company is a Member of the Australian Geothermal Energy Association (industry body), the Australian Geothermal Energy Group (technical organisation) and the Australian Institute of Energy. The Company is represented on the Executive Committee of the Australian Geothermal Energy Association (AGEA) by Mr John Libby, who is Secretary of the association and also sits on a number of sub-committees, including Policy, Legislation, National Electricity Market, Geothermal Code and Geothermal Direct Use. Mr Libby is also the WA State Representative of AGEA and sits on the Technical Liaison Sub-Committee of the Geological Survey of Western Australia to review their performance and advise on geoscientific data collection for geothermal assessment in Western Australia.
