Bret Mattes – Chairman
Bret Mattes is a Geologist with over 30 years experience in the global energy and resources sector. He is currently CEO of Star Energy, an Indonesian geothermal energy producer petroleum company.
Mr Mattes brings a wealth of experience from several major resource companies. He was Vice President Australia/Asia Gas and Power for BHP Billiton, a Directors of North West Shelf Gas Pty Ltd, Vice President Australian LNG Pty Ltd and Vice President BHP Japan. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Australian Energy Alliance – APEC Energy Business Network, Chairman of APGAS Limited and Director of the Australian Member Committee of the World Energy Council.
Mr Mattes is currently Chairman of the WA Ballet and ChemCentre WA (a renowned provider of chemical and forensic services).
John Libby – Managing Director
Managing Director John Libby is a Geologist with 20 years of resource industry experience applying R&D to the commercial operation of large processing facilities. Mr Libby is a management consultant to several resource companies and has a comprehensive knowledge of exploration and mining operations. In addition, Mr Libby co-manages Digirock Pty Ltd, a successful private exploration consultancy specialising in large, deep and logistically challenging projects in excess of $30 million.
Ronald Beevor – Director
Ronnie Beevor has had an extensive involvement with the natural resources industry in Australia and internationally. He was Head of Investment Banking at NM Rothschild & Sons (Australia) Limited between 1997 and 2002 and was a Director of OZ Minerals Limited. Mr Beevor is Chairman of EMED Mining (listed on AIM, London) and a Director of Bannerman Resources Limited, Rey Resources Limited, QMAG, Talison Lithium and Unity Mining.
Mr Beevor has an Honours Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and qualified as a chartered accountant (London, 1972).
Mervyn Davies – Director
Mr Davies has worked in all areas of electricity distribution and has extensive experience in managing both the financial and technical performance of business. He has over 35 years senior management experience in the Australian electrical industry and is currently a Director of Western Power (Electricity Networks Corporation), the Western Australian government electricity utility, and Deputy Chairman of the Power and Water Corporation (Northern Territory electricity utility), in addition to operating private consulting business.
